In the business world, there are brands that contribute to recycling in a timely manner. Many of them have operations in Mexico and are socially responsible, which is why they direct their efforts toward sustainability.
The word recycling is defined as the process by which waste is converted into new products or material resources to manufacture other products. In the process, waste undergoes an eco-environmental transformation to be used in another manufacturing process, reducing the consumption of raw materials and helping to eliminate waste.
How does interest in recycling arise in the world?
The interest in recycling among all sectors of the population, not just brands, arose in 1994 in Texas, United States. However, International Recycling Day was proclaimed by UNESCO on May 17, 2005.
Since then, the objective pursued by this organization and many more actors in society with the celebration of this day is to find a way to raise awareness and, in addition, generate less waste to reduce the carbon footprint.
The National Association of Plastic Industries (ANIPAC) states that the recycling industry in Mexico is valued at 3,000 million dollars annually and grows around 10% annually.
