According to the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights , every animal is a subject of rights . This was proclaimed on October 15, 1978 by the International League of Animal Rights, the National Leagues and the individuals associated with them, and arises as part of animal protection actions in the world. Considering its importance, both UNESCO and the UN approved such a declaration.
Recognizing that all animals have rights is essential for coexistence between species. Despite belonging to the animal kingdom, humanity has exterminated many kinds of animals throughout history. For example, the famous cases of the Mauritius dodo bird and the Tasmanian tiger.
Although there have been many extinctions on planet
Iran Mobile Number List Earth caused by climate change, volcanism, floods and droughts, in recent years, the vast majority of flora and fauna extinctions are due to the direct or indirect impact of human activities. As is currently the case due to climate change caused, to a large extent, by industrial activity.
Why are animal protection actions necessary?
Human activity reduces the ranges of other animal populations. Which can lead to the death of species, affecting food chains and, at the same time, ecosystems. These acts have been classified as environmental crimes in different legislations, including the Mexican one.
In this context, animal protection actions are necessary to achieve sustainable development in which the interaction between the economy and the biosphere is not based on anthropocentrism or speciesism . But, on the contrary, the biosphere and its natural resources are valued as the essential source of life and habitat for living species, including humans.
Therefore, respect for the environment and other animal species is also an act of respect for human life. Since we, in the same way, are inhabitants of this planet.

How to protect animals?
1. Legislate in favor of animal protection
As established by the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights, animal protection and safeguarding organizations must be represented at the government level. That is, their voices must have weight in decision-making regarding the rights of non-human animals.
Furthermore, these rights must be defended by law, in the same way as human rights. In Mexico, for example, the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (PROFEPA) guarantees compliance with the General Wildlife Law and related matters.
On the other hand, thanks to the efforts of government bodies and civil society organizations, by 2022, 27 entities in the Mexican Republic have classified animal abuse as a crime.

2. Respect biological rights and cycles
Humanity, as an animal species, cannot claim the right to exterminate other animals or exploit them, violating their right to respect. On the contrary, he has the obligation to put his knowledge at the service of animals.
Likewise, every work animal has the right to a reasonable limitation of the time and intensity of work, to restorative nutrition and to rest.
