According to the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights , every animal is a subject of rights . This was proclaimed on October 15, 1978 by the International League of Animal Rights, the National Leagues and the individuals associated with them, and arises as part of animal protection actions in the world. How to protect animals?

1. Legislate in favor of animal protection

As established by the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights, animal protection and safeguarding organizations must be represented at the government level. That is, their voices must have weight in decision-making regarding the rights of non-human animals.



Furthermore, these rights must be defended by law, in the same way as human rights. In Mexico, for example, the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (PROFEPA) guarantees compliance with the General Wildlife Law and related matters.



On the other hand, thanks to the efforts of government bodies and civil society organizations, by 2022, 27 entities in the Mexican Republic have classified animal abuse as a crime.

2. Respect biological rights and cycles

Humanity, as an animal species, cannot claim the right to exterminate other animals or exploit them, violating their right to respect. On the contrary, he has the obligation to put his knowledge at the service of animals.
